Quantum Instruments (Hauppauge NY, 631/656-7400, www.qtm.com) is marketing the new Qflash TRIO BASIC speedlite. Designed for Nikon and Canon Digital SLRs, the Qflash TRIO features high-speed sync capabilities, as well as Manual, Auto, Auto-Fill, TTL and Program (Pre-Sets) modes. It includes removable long and short power cords, a removable reflector, a user-replaceable flash tube, and it accepts a wide variety of light modifiers. Slip it onto the camera’s hot-shoe, connect any Turbo and shoot flash photos non-stop, 24 hours a day without slowing down or overheating. Estimated street price: $701.
