Sony ( is expected to begin shipping the highly anticipated NEX-C3 digital camera in August 2011. Billed as the world’s smallest, lightest interchangeable lens camera with an APS-C sized sensor, the NEX-C3 gives consumers the high-quality imaging of a DSLR without the size and weight. Although it weighs only eight ounces, the new Sony features an effective resolution of 16.2 megapixels, 720p HD video, a 3D Sweep Panorama mode, and a new in-camera ‘Picture Effect’ setting that lets users add extra impact to stills or HD video during shooting, without the worry of editing images afterwards. Available in silver, black and pink, the new NEX-C3 digital camera with 18-55mm kit zoom lens is expected to cost about $650.
