Nikon Markets Advanced CoolPix P7100 Digital Camera

Nikon (Melville, NY, www.nikonusa.com) recently introduced a 10.1-megapixel CoolPix digital camera that offers the image quality, performance and creative manual controls often associated with DSLR cameras. The new compact, lightweight CoolPix P7100 includes a new enhanced AF system, high-speed Expeed C2TM image-processing engine, and 7.1X wide-angle optical zoom-Nikkor ED glass lens (35mm equivalent to 28–200mm). It has optical Vibration Reduction (VR), a 3.0-inch tilting vari-angle LCD screen, and it is capable of capturing full resolution JPEG images at up to 1.2 frames-per-second. It supports ISOs from 100 to 6400 (expandable to ISO 12,800 in Low Noise Night Mode) and High Definition (HD) movies at 720p (30 fps) with stereo sound. Street price: $499.95
