Sneak Peek into Rangefinder’s Fine-Art Issue: Spotlight on João Carlos

By // April 5, 2013 // Posted in Industry News, Photography, Video

As our April Digital Edition goes live today, we wanted to give you a quick glimpse into some recent video work of one of the issue’s featured photographers—João Carlos. A self-proclaimed romantic, João combines his love for fine art, folk and fairy tales with exotic locations to create stunning fashion, advertising and personal work. Here, we present a short film he shot for his Definition of Love series (see his still images in “Great Inspirations,” on page 80 of both our April print and digital editions). Says João: “I was experimenting with some new equipment, including the Lensbaby Composer Pro with Sweat Optic 35 and the Aviator Jib, and decided to create this visual exploration for my ‘Definition of Love‘ project.” The video is inspirational, just like João’s print work, and the music is fun.
