Wedding photographer Jose Villa, in town from the West coast for an engagement shoot, took time to pose with me inside the historic Fraunces Tavern in lower Manhattan.

It’s always a treat to see Jose and hear what he’s up to. Not only is his book, Fine Art Wedding Photography: How To Capture Images with Style for the Modern Bride (Amphoto Books 2011), still selling well and has been reprinted in Polish, Portuguese and Russian, he also has workshops coming up in Mexico and Italy later in the year, and is already talking about his plans for a Master Class at WPPI 2014.

The film-only photographer has also signed on to judge WPPI’s Members Only 1st Half online competition. The competition opens June 1 and the deadline for entries is July 8th. Make sure to get your entries in before then!
