Bambi Cantrell Will Present “Basics in Beauty” at WPPI 2014

I’d go as far as calling Bambi Cantrell “The Queen of WPPI.” Bambi has been an educator, mentor and great friend to WPPI for many years, and her dedication to helping others, and giving back is unparalleled. She is also a no-nonsense, in-your-face gal who tells it like it is, and that’s what makes her one of the most genuine people I know. She has been one of my greatest assets when came on board, and I can’t thank her enough. (You guys should too!)

Every year, you can count on a new class from Bambi with useful and relevant information. She is a prolific artist, and is always working on new projects that will inspire. I remember last year seeing her the evening before WPPI 2013, she had just finished up a shoot in the desert (photos below) and was so excited about the results. She showed me some previews on her phone with so much exhilaration, each swipe of her hand was like she was seeing it for the first time.

This year, Bambi’s class Basics in Beauty is about how to manipulate the body to create gorgeous portraits of brides, grooms and groups. Through live demonstrations and dynamic images, she’ll take you step-by-step through the process of creating stunning work. She does such an awesome job of communicating in a fun, and entertaining way; I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!

Bambi will also be one of our esteemed judges and Chairpersons for our annual 16×20 Print, Album and Filmmaking Competition. She is also a Double Master in our Honors of Excellence program, and one of only ten people who currently hold this title. If you’ve never witnessed our live judging, it’s an annual tradition you owe to yourself to see!

Thank you Bambi for all your hard work and dedication over the years!
