….and the winners are! We’ve posted the 2014 winners gallery on our competition page!

Here’s a few words from our esteemed competition director Jerry Ghionis.

“On behalf of the entire WPPI team, I want to thank you for entering the competition and sharing your talents with all of us. I know it’s daunting having your entries judged publicly by your peers. After 20+ years, I still feel the butterflies in my stomach when my prints get judged. As a team we did our best to maintain respect and fairness to each entry and make the judging educational for all. A lower score and constructive criticism always stings a little bit, but please receive the feedback with the respect in which it was given. Yes, we can make the competition even better next year and we are looking forward to refining the process and improving the experience for all. Congrats to all! Award or not, if you simply entered, you have already won. The act of entering the competition is a symbol that you want to grow as an artist. Trust me, your work will improve as a direct result of the competition. The gallery of all the winning images and entries that scored above 80 is live now! BTW you will also have your printable certificates in your log in area soon as well. Remember, you don’t have to be the best. Simply try to be better than last week.”

Once again I want to thank Jerry, Melissa, all of our judges, volunteers, and most importantly YOU GUYS who had the guts to enter. It was a great year, and this winners gallery will serve as an inspiration for all of us this year, as well as setting the bar for this year! Speaking of this year, there’s no time to rest, it’s time to start thinking of your entries for 2015! That’s right, our members only First Half Competition is opening in just two weeks! The Growth, Honor and Prestige begins with thinking about what you’ll be bringing to stage this year.
