Our Message to Dennis Orchard: Get Well Soon!

I can’t believe it’s been nearly a week, and I’m just finding out the disturbing news about Dennis Orchard. I haven’t been able to piece it fully together yet, but it seems Dennis had a terrible bike accident. He’s been in the ICU under heavy sedation, with broken ribs and some brain trauma.

For those of you who don’t know, Dennis is one of those true gems you only meet once in a lifetime. Dennis has been so helpful and supportive to me over the last few years, offering his wisdom and advice when asked. His supportive words have meant more to me than he knows, and I’m positively “gobsmacked” (one of my favorite words he’d often use) at this terrible news.

Dear Dennis: Dude, you must get better! I know you’ve always got a crazy schedule, but this is no way to take a vacation! I’m expecting a full recovery, and for you to be 100 percent by February’s print competition, that’s an order! Seriously my friend, please be strong, we’re all praying for you, we love you, and we look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas in a few months.

Anyone who knows Dennis knows that he has a penchant for wearing customized T-shirts with funny sayings, like “Make Mine a Triple Please or “Wanna See My Brad Pitt Impression” and “She’s My Favourite” (with arrows pointing left and right)! He has many, many more. So let’s all show Dennis how much we love him: post a photo of yourself wearing a funny saying, and tag him on FB – #weloveyoudennis!
