Bulls on Parade: Wedding Shoot Turns Into Bull Charge

October 2, 2014

Newlyweds Brian and Rebecca Pepper, who live in Australia, are no stranger to the country’s rough-and-tumble wildlife, so when a bull came lumbering into their photo shoot recently, photographer Rachel Deane of Finishing Image Photography thought it would make a fantastic prop.

The bull had other ideas.

Deane told ABC News that after the bull made his cameo, the couple grew concerned that the beast would drool and kick up too much dust on the bride’s gown, so they began to shoo-away the animal.

That’s when Deane said things got ugly.

“Brian instructed the bull to move away as they were a little worried it may slobber on Rebecca’s dress,” Deane told ABC News. “The bull then started kicking up dust and arching his back in a tiger-like pounce stance. It then started charging towards Brian and Rebecca.”

Fortunately, in true Aussie fashion, Brian charged back. Frightened, the bull reportedly turned tail and fled. The couple returned to the reception with one hell of a story and photographer Deane had one huge viral hit on her hands. She’s posted the entire series of images on her Facebook page.

Could it all be clever Photoshopping? Potentially. I’ve not (yet) had the opportunity to face down a charging bull so I can’t say for certain how they react. Anyone who has is free to sound off in comments and tell us if this is all just bull.
