Kevin Kubota’s "Photographers Ignite"' Slated To Set WPPI on Fire

January 21, 2016

By Laura Brauer

Save the date! On Thursday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m., WPPI will be setting the MGM Grand ablaze when it hosts Kevin Kubota’s Photographers Ignite! (Figuratively, of course).

If you’ve never been, here’s the gist: this is a fast-paced event where photographers across a range of genres and specialities will speak (or sing!) on subjects that they are particularly passionate about. But there’s a twist! The presenters only have five minutes to speak on a funny, educational, or emotional topic, accompanied by 20 slides, advancing every 15 seconds. Attendees definitely won’t burnout at this pace!

Last year’s lineup of photographers that presented at the event included Phillip Blume, Bambi Cantrell, Elle Danielle, Taylor Jackson, Matt Kennedy, Jessica Lark, Lori Nordstrom, Drexelle Park, Joe Photo, Sam Puc, Steven Rosen, Julieta Schwartzman and Craig Strong. We’re expecting another great lineup this year (names to be announced as we get closer to the event)—you won’t want to miss it!

And good news, folks: there’s still time left to submit a proposal! The deadline has been pushed back to January 30. So go get your creative on and get ready to inspire, educate and entertain by entering to be chosen as one of the presenters. Go to photographersignite.com/submit-a-proposal for information on how to send a short video of your ideas for a 5-minute Ignite presentation.
