Wait, They Had A Real WPPI Wedding?

Last night’s Sony WPPI Wedding Bash broke the mold for traditional industry parties. As WPPI attendees, team members from Snapshots and Sony Artisans enjoyed cocktails and appetizers at the venue “Place on 7th” in Las Vegas, a real life bride and groom tied the knot just a few feet over. (No, seriously!)

But wait, there’s more! During the ceremony, photographers in attendance were encouraged to take their best shots and submit them to the multi-platform gallery display app Snapshots for what the company describes as a “friendly competition.” Winners of the Snapshots photo contest won a range of prizes including Sony cameras, Snapshots membership and more.

After the ceremony, both wedding guests (the lucky bride and groom said their vows in front of roughly 60 friends and family too) and industry members mingled both in an indoor lounge and on the outside dance floor where DJs Fort Knox Five gave a live performance throughout the rest of the night. By the way, the groom is a Sony brand ambassador and photographer and yes, Sony covered the cost of the couple’s Las Vegas nuptials, Sony team members told Rangefinder.
