Taken on the island of Mo’orea in French Polynesia, this shot was one of the first images photographer Helene Havard (an Rf 30 Rising Star from 2015) says she ever took with a drone. She used a DJI Phantom 3 to capture the couple from above. “I could feel that the bride and groom was so in love, and them being surrounded by the water makes them look like they were alone in the world,” she notes.

This image is also special to Havard because it is symbolic for this stage in her career. “Having been named as one of the 30 Rising Stars 2015 has helped me gain many more clients and have much more freedom with my work. This is why I decided to use a drone. Because I feel free as a bird, and because, in a way, things are reaching new heights in my professional work.”
