Canon has added three new Premium Fine Art papers to its lineup at the PhotoPlus Expo for your printing pleasure.

The new additions include Premium Fine Art Smooth, Premium Fine Art Bright White and Premium Polished Rag.

Premium FIne Art Smooth Paper

Premium Fine Art Smooth paper keeps ink pigments near the surface of the paper by separating the ink-receiving layers into a color-reproduction layer and an absorbing layer, the better to ensure a “deep, rich black,” according to Canon. It’s an acid-free paper that uses 100 percent cotton for the base. It’s lignin-free to reduce the chances of yellow discoloration. As the name suggests, a smooth-textured surface that produces a natural color tone. This 310 gsm paper is available in cut sheet sizes as well as 17, 24, 36 and 44-inch roll sizes.

Premium Fine Art Bright White is a 100 percent cotton, acid-free inkjet paper with a bright white tone for greater contrast. It has a smooth and silky surface, weighs in at 305 gsm and is is available in 24, 36, 44 and 60-inch roll sizes.

Premium Polished Rag is a semi-glossy, acid-free, bright white, 100 percent cotton-based paper designed and is free of optical brighteners. This 305 gsm media paper is available in 24, 36 and 44 and 60-inch roll sizes.

Letter-sized versions of all the papers will retail for $35; 13 x 19 cut sheets sell for $95; and 17 x 22-inch cut sheets will sell for $150. Roll media prices for all the papers will range between $100-$300.
