Just The Two Of Us [Rf Photo of the Day]

I met Puerto Rico-based wedding photographer Javier Olivero at a Yervant Symposium in Orlando, Florida, this past summer and was instantly struck by his compositions and graphic colors. And as the cold weather has finally arrived in New York, even bringing some snowflakes, this image feels like a warm island breeze—it’s a nice break from the whipping winds outside my window.

Says Olivero of the scene’s setup with newlyweds Nidia and Dyrelle: “It was low season in the Bahamas so the the pool at our resort was practically empty. The infinity pool looked very beautiful and I thought it would be ideal to photograph them, if possible, from a spot within the pool. Fortunately, we noticed that the infinity pool had a little step on the outside of the wall, so I said to the couple: ‘Please, be VERY CAREFUL and stand on this small step. I promise that I’m going to do an awesome picture for you.’ And voilá, here’s a gorgeous image that made me (and them) very happy and satisfied.”
