Dreamy Indeed [Rf Photo of the Day]

Jess Woodhouse, a Portland, Oregon-based wedding and portrait photographer, says she considers her style to be “more on the whimsical and candid side.” She welcomes imperfections in images, “a bit of grain, the light and the shadows to create a sense of warmth and togetherness felt that day.” This shot is a spot-on encapsulation of her words, and even in black and white, there’s a certain radiance and magnetism that can be felt between the couple.

Taken during an engagement session on Saddle Mountain, in the northwestern corner of Oregon, this might look like film but Woodhouse was actually shooting with a Canon 5D Mark III and a 45mm Tilt-Shift lens. “For me the gradual blur of the Tilt/Shift lens creates a dreamy look that feels more like a painting.”
