Sparklers and Smiles in Stinson Beach [Rf Photo of the Day]

These newlyweds had just left the dance floor when David Lai captured this moment—of bride and groom surrounded by their friends and family after a full night of partying. Beyond the sparklers, the Oakland, California-based photographer says that the details are what make this moment shine, like the groom’s undone bow tie and a beer in his hand, the guest holding her shoes, and the gigantic smiles. “Capturing the ambiance as events unfold is very important to me as an artist,” Lai says.

The couple tied the knot in Stinson Beach, California, and the reception took place at the Stinson Beach Community Center. “From hiking to food trucks to a bonfire, this couple really loves the simple joys in life, and they couldn’t help but want to share these with their guests,” Lai adds. “They’re down to earth, adventurous and can party like there’s no tomorrow! Every photo we took was a reflection of their free-spirited and loving characters.”
