Getting Ready For the Big Day [Rf Photo of the Day]

This South Beach wedding in Miami was filled with everything needed to ensure a good time: lawn games, cocktails and beautiful weather. This groom portrait, captured here at The Palms Hotel bright and early, took place just before the first look. “Who doesn’t like to enjoy a breakfast beer?” says photographer Evan Rich. “And if you are going to enjoy a breakfast beer while looking so sharp, you might as well get a selfie with the South Beach shoreline in the background.”
As a self-described storyteller with a documentary style, Rich says the composition and framing are key elements of the overall image. “These small fleeting moments are really what pull the whole day together,” he says. “I also like to include a lot of context in my photographs in order to tell a story within each single frame, using space to create unique and dynamic perspectives to the stories.”
