Ona’s New Bond Street Bag Totes Your Gear Stylishly

Ona makes some of the classiest leather camera bags on the market. The latest model, the Bond Street, comes in leather or canvas. It’s the most compact model in Ona’s lineup and is designed to fit smaller cameras such as a mirrorless or a small DSLR. If you’re a fan of instant cameras like Fujifilm’s Instax Mini 8, you can stow that fun camera in the bag too.

Both the leather and canvas models are handcrafted and can fit a mirrorless camera with lens attached, along with one or two additional lenses. The interior measures 6.5 x 8 x 4 inches, which gives you an idea of the types of gear it can accommodate. Among the four exterior pockets is a zippered compartment on the rear where you can stow an iPad Mini or Kindle.

The interior is padded but also comes with a removable padded divider. If you unhook the shoulder strap, you can use the bag as an insert for a larger gear bag.

The Bond Street is reminiscent of Ona’s popular and handsome Bowery bag, but it’s smaller and is Ona’s most compact to date. The leather Bond Street bag is available in Antique Cognac or Black with antique brass hardware, while the canvas bag is made from water-resistant waxed canvas with brass hardware and leather accents.

While I prefer the Antique Cognac leather model (to match my Bowery bag), the Smoke canvas Bond Street bag is less expensive at $129 versus the $219 leather model. At 1.4 pounds, the canvas bag is also a little lighter than the 1.7 pound leather model. Either way, the Bond Street bag is a stylish choice for a day out with a small camera.
