Rad Family Photo [Rf Photo of the Day]

“I’ve been really inspired by in-home shoots recently,” says Idaho-based photographer Rachel Shamberg of Through Stories. “It gives me a lot to play with aesthetically, which makes every session unique to the couple or family I’m photographing.”

This smiley portrait was captured in the family’s remodeled kitchen. “They’re one of the raddest families I’ve photographed,” says Shamberg. “They all have dreads, except for the baby, who I am sure will have them too one day.” According to Shamberg, this playful image was captured with no staging or direction—it was just one of those beautiful, spontaneous moments where everyone in the family was free to be themselves.
